Hello Tiffy!

Last night N and I went to this relatively new sports bar by my house (The name of the place is Ryan’s). This place looked kinda sleazy, its in a budget motel, but the perk of it is for me, the bar is literally a 2 minute drive from my house. Well let me just say, even though my past haunts were some of the sleaziest dive bars with the scariest people in Mountain View, this place takes the cake for creepy bar! I am not sure how to really explain, but I should have taken pics. You know, the basic older drunk crowd, smelling badly, not speaking clearly, the kind of people you just *know* you will never be someday. After that I came home and made a cheese pizza on the Pizzazz.

I am the designated driver for a friend’s birthday party tonight & We are heading to Dave & Busters. (Yes you heard me correctly - I am a designated driver, not the designated drinker). Well it is one of my closest friend’s birthdays (N) so I was not about to let him drive everyone. I want him to drink as much as he wants. So yeah. I am kinda scared about it because I HATE driving and this place is in Milpitas. That is a long drive. It’s just something you have to do for friends!

Tomorrow I am having lunch with a girl named K, whom I went to college with. I never really see her (I think the last time now was her birthday in March of last year) so I am very excited to meet up with her again. I am going to hit up the bead store in Mountain View afterwards, because I have been wanting to get into making jewelry when I get bored. I love stringing beads, it’s very relaxing.

You know what sucks about blogs in 2008? You can’t bitch complain cry talk about your job. In any way. Ever. I hate blogs.

Today was boring and I have nothing to tell you.

Here is a pic of my new ‘do! It is kinda flat but it’s new so whatever. The only downside to getting this new haircut was now I can see all the grays that are coming in.

I promised you that when I got a camera I would share pics of Maysie in a Hoodie! Isn’t she Pweshous!!!

I have had 2 wonderful nights of sleep and I am feeling great! I have not woken up last night or the night before from coughing. Sure I have my coughing fits here and there but I feel good! Yeah! I guess the Dr. knew what she was talking about after all. I am going to get a new hairstyle today because I have not gotten a hair cut in like 2 years. My hair is ratty and nasty and I am so sick of it. Normally I get a layered cut with blonde highlights. I am not going to do any coloring today but I plan to do that in a few weeks. In the mean time I will go get a cute new style so that will be fun!

I got my new camera in the mail last night (FINALLY!) but come to find out, it doesn’t have any memory! I need to go buy a SD Memory card for it.

Well sort of. I woke up today and it was so stormy! I haven’t seen it this bad… ever! Well when I was 12 they shut down school for one day and that is the extent of “bad storms” that I have lived through. This morning I woke up and the wind was really loud! I couldn’t even take Maysie out because I knew she would be blown away! So I told my boss that it was dangerous out there and I was not leaving for work til the storm let up. Well he didn’t reply back and I felt all guilty so I got in my car and drove to work. I was terrified! I HATE driving in the rain, but a storm is even worse. So I drove granny-style, death grip on the wheel going 45 miles an hour on the freeway and once I got to work the parking lot was so flooded. I have never driven in anything like this before. The water was higher than my tires. I finally found a place to park, realized I must be the only idiot that came to work today because no cars were really there. THEN I walk in the door and the CTO says “We are shutting down the office”. LOVELY! So, I get in my car and get back home. The way home was much less scary though. Shit was flying around on the road, Burger King banners from a city away (We don’t have a BK) were flying by on the road, it was weird. I am alive though and I get to stay home today!

God I wish this illness would just go away… So yesterday I went to the doc like I told you but the doc told me that the cold is triggering my asthma which is why my cough and lungs are so bad. I am skeptical of her diagnosis. For one thing, I use an inhaler very rarely for wheezing. I would say I go through an inhaler in 1-2 months. Well now I have gone through a full inhaler in one week. Well she prescribed me a different inhaler to use along with my normal inhaler. It cost me $150! I was not amused. Well last night I had a real asthma attack, I almost went to the ER. I decided to let myself stop panicking and I found it easier to breathe. Oh to everyone thinking what an idiot I am because I complain about inhalers and wheezing… I quit smoking. I officially quit on New Years Eve but I had cigarettes only 2 occasions in the past week. I consider myself quit since the 28th but I have been “100% cig free” since the 1st. I am going cold turkey but only for now…. I can’t breathe anyway so I have no desire to smoke. However I do have a few nicotine cravings. When the cravings get worse I do plan to get the Commit Lozenges - I have too many friends that have told me that cold turkey doesn’t work. I am willing to believe them so I will get help when I need it, but I am hoping I don’t. On one hand I am proud of myself but I am not happy for myself until I have gone a whole month. That would be something to brag about. I do find myself especially bitchy, and irritable since I am sick and I have no nicotine. Oh well. I think I popped a muscle in my back from coughing so much.

Ok I am going to the Dr today. I have been needing to go but I kept seeing how I was getting better and I wanted to wait it out. Well this is day 7 of my cough being REALLY bad, so bad that J won’t sleep in the room because I am waking him up every 10 minutes hacking up a lung. (It’s also keeping me up) So my appointment is at 11. Anti-biotics here I come!
