So I went to the gym today to do my circuit training and after my 2 day rest I could definitely tell I am a bit stronger from the machines last week. It is weird when you have no strength at all, and I mean at all. I look like a big dork on the machines and not only that I am on the lightest setting (also known as 1 lb) However I can tell it is less hard than it was last week and right now I am thinking I will keep going with the 1 pounders until it is actually “easy” for me then I will graduate to 2 lbs. I do not see this happening anytime soon - maybe in a month? I will be pretty happy if I can add 1 lb a month that is for sure. I didn’t tell you that I actually GAINED 1.5 lbs this week and let me tell you I was not happy. However I had heard that muscle weighs more than fat, and you can lose some fat, gain some muscle and you haven’t lost anything weight wise, have you? I thought this was downright impossible for someone of my weight to simply not lose anything but I am hopeful that the worst that can happen is I drop quite a bit suddenly after a few weeks of this. I am not giving up or anything, but it was not very motivational! Blah what can you do?
As for me I really need to get into cooking more because I am spending too much money on food that is low in points but tastes good. For instance california rolls are low in points and sushi is one of my favorite foods. So last week I basically bought a pack of california rolls after my workout and I loved it but, hello, that was 6-10 dollars on food a day. So I am experimenting and making up some tacos to place in whole wheat pita shells.
Ow, my muscles! Must rest.
