This week has been really busy. I am especially tired today because last night I went out to a bar/club until 1:30 in the morning. I didn’t get drunk, thanks to being broke! I still had a good time and met some new people. However I am so tired today. My office moved from one building to one the next exit away. So we moved EVERYTHING over and unpacked everything… Well actually I didn’t pack or unpack, I was told to stock the fridge for the BBQ. After that, I went with the VP to Costco to get more supplies. Then I was instructed to go get ice. That is where the fun begins! As you may know, I am what my friends call “navigationally challenged”. I don’t know right from left. I am not usually a terrible driver (though after you finish reading I doubt that you will believe me), when my GPS was working I had a ball going all kinds of places I would never dare venture without one. I end up in ghettos and scary strange places when I go off on my own.

Anyway, so I know there is a Safeway not that far form where the new office is. Unfortunately, though, taking a left out of the office is a 4-8 minute wait so I took a right so I could make a U-Turn to get in the right direction. There were no U Turns for a long long time so I get lost. Then I plug in my GPS but the thing is always falling off when I hit a bump (I need a new GPS!). So I got it going, started in the right direction, hit a bump and the thing fell off. Bloody hell. This kept happening and finally I find a Safeway oh, 2 cities away. Fine. No Worries. I set up the GPS and start to make the way home. Then the GPS craps out again. I assume I know where I am going. I was going the wrong direction and ended up at Stanford Shopping Center. This is the fancy shopping center in which I never get off my ass and drive myself cause its “too far” Hell that place is not far at all! I am so retarded! Either that or I really got off course! I maneuver my way out of the parking lot, get back on the street and am so frazzled I fly through a Stop sign and almost got hit by a classic car. I literally saw the car coming at my passenger side at like 20 miles an hour and it wasn’t gonna stop. It was so strange. You have heard of the description of traumatic events that time seems to slow down? It was totally true. I saw the car coming at me, my first reaction was to stop, then something made me floor the car to get out of the way, it felt like a long time but it was only a second or 2. The weird part was how I didn’t even feel fear when I saw the car coming at me. I literally just did what needed to be done and I didn’t even think about it! Weird! I am telling you its kind of freaky to see a car coming dead straight at you.

Anyway, I lived and there was no contact with any cars. And no one had any cold drinks because it took me an hour and a half to get ice from a store 5 minutes away. That’s what they get for sending me!
