I know it sounds like fun, but working from home really fuckin sucks. I thought it would be cooler than it is, probably because everyone knows sitting on the couch in your jammies is fun on weekends and the weekends never last long enough. Working that way really is not fun. I don’t ever meet new people, it gets really boring and I can feel my butt making a homer-like imprint in the couch. Also, it is slightly depressing and lonely. I mean overall, things are going great here, but I realize I am not going to get any more engaged in life until I get some form of real life go-to-the-office job. Well it is also not easy getting a new job in a new place especially when your last job was very field-specific. Of course the overall field is there, Customer Support, but I don’t think I am going to be finding any local internet privacy companies out here to go apply at. Internet Research Specialist perhaps? How grand. Anyway, just a few ramblings about that, I am sure that I will be fine. I am thinking about going back to the gaming industry - It is a very sought-after industry so it is hard to get back in once you leave. There are plenty of options, and I have only been here a month, so I need to just cheer up! More work time tomorrow!
